Barren Wastleland
Once a beautiful, glorious green pasture that stretched for miles and miles now turned to ash. The land is hard and bitter; hardly any plants grow. How could they? There is no sustenance to be found. Beware before stepping foot here, for the wide open space makes you a target for the ravenous dragons prowling the sky. Masked men flit about in the darkness here as well, looking for travelers off their guard to kidnap and sell for a small fortune.

Over four years after the destruction of this forest, it has begun to grow anew. Unlike the barren wasteland that it borders, water has appeared in the form of rivers and streams. An eery mist consistently fills the gaps between trees and many a wanderer has been known to get lost. Wolves and other wild animals prowl about for their next meal.

As you stand on the shore, which is littered with trash, glass, and other nasty things, your stomach churns nauseatingly. A never ending storm seems to hang above the tumultuous ocean waves. Any hope of crossing it is folly. There is no way.

DESERTED LIGHTHOUSE
A lighthouse that no longer lights. What a tragedy. It has been empty for years and is nearly impossible to access because of the fury of the ocean waves, but some people do succeed. It can be a good hiding place from those infamous masked men, as well as the crazed sea creatures that emerge from the depths of the ocean to feast.

A vast hot desert, with rolling hills of sand, near impossible to travel. The desert's heat can quickly dehydrate a traveler during the day, but freeze them to death at night. There are a few oases scattered throughout it, but they're quite hard to find.

LAST STAND FORTRESS
This large fortress is one of the last perpetually inhabited areas left in the animated world. Fighters, soldiers, monarchs, and just plain old volunteers live here to prepare the rebellion against the evil. The fortress is well-fortified, but not particularly well-stocked.

THE PORTAL
The only way to get to the real world. It lies in a perilous cave surrounded by craggy rocks and violent ocean waves. It is common to see masked men or other devious folk waiting in the dark for those attempting to make it across the breach. This side of the portal only leads to the one alley in NYC.

THE PORTAL
The only way to get to the animated world, located in the beautiful New York City. It's nothing more than a dingy back alley, tucked away from the busy streets and flashing lights. To go to a specific place, simply think of that exact location as you're crossing through.

THE HOUSING COMPLEX
The Elders predicted the impending danger back home and came through the portal to begin work on making the transition as smooth as possible. Only visible to anyone having stepped foot in the animated world, the housing complex is filled with only the most basic essentials, but free rent and utilities makes it a great place to get one's feet on the ground.

CENTRAL PARK
Massive and absolutely beautiful, Central Park is a great place to spend a few hours. Go for a jog! Relax with a book! See an outdoor theatre production! There's always something to do. And ever since NYC's been cleaned up, it's not QUITE as dangerous as night... so that's good.

TIMES SQUARE
Perhaps the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of New York City, Times Square is the heart of everything. Busy with life at all hours of the day, it is marked by stores stacked upon stores and Broadway advertisements over 50 feet tall. Perhaps it's a tourist trap, but there's something magical about this rainbow-colored hub of activity.
