I remember how we used to play. I recall those rainy days, the fires glowed, that kept us warm. And now I find, we're both alone. Goodbye may seem forever, farewell is like the end. But in my heart's a memory, and there you'll always be.

i could spend my life
in this sweet surrender

Stirring a bit from his curled up position, stretching out his arms and legs. Wiggling his toes and pawing at the open air before him. He was warm, and in the most comfortable bed he'd ever allowed to hold his body. A wide yawn escaped from his lips and his face wrinkled at the taste. His mouth was dry. His lips were sore and swollen. The inside of his mouth coated in something disgusting. Slowly he blinked his eyes open, another yawn taking over. Everything was fuzzy- as if he was looking through a screen.

Where was he again?

Rubbing at his eyes to remove the built up sleep, he lifted his head a bit to investigate. This wasn't his room. The ceiling was dream catcher-less. Then where--- an arm draped over his waist and he froze for a moment before his memory decided to re-jog itself.

It wasn't long after their heated 'discussion' against the wall that time seemed to speed back up to it's normal pace. There was an announcement over the intercom saying the place was getting ready to close in an hour. The bouncers were tapping couples on the shoulder to let them know they needed to go elsewhere. He was somehow able to free himself from Chase's hungry mouth in time to see the bouncer who IDed them earlier. He gave them a grin with a wink before tapping his wrist: the universal signal for "Time to go." Apparently Chase knew the workers here well enough for them to let him go like that.

A smile broke out across his lips as parts of the night flashed back to him. He'd been with Chase all night, drinking and dancing. Just having a good time. And a good time was had. His mind wandered back to the events that happened as he started to drift back to sleep.

Chase had an arm draped over Theo's shoulders as he tried to get directions. His head was far too clouded to ever be able to remember how to get back to his place, and he wasn't sure where they were compared to Chase's apartment. Thankfully, the bouncer from earlier offered to help, and as Theo clumsily handed his phone over, and Tod? Ted? Fred? The name was a blur to Theo as he took his phone and found he'd plugged everything in to the built-in GPS.

The walk to the apartment complex was.... interesting to say the least. Every time the phone would go off Chase would burst out into uncontrollable laughing fits, which were hard to ignore because they would rub off on poor Theo. It made holding onto the tie around Chase's neck harder than what it should have been. They were both stumbling about in the others arms trying to cross the street, to make a right turn, to just walk in a straight line.

Nuzzling his head against his arm, he yawned once more. The bed was so soft. His foot twitched, and he took to rolling over, his nose brushing up against a bare chest. Sluggishly blinking his eyes opened, he could make the blurred outline of someone else. Was he in the same bed as Chase? He'd have to be, if there was someone else in bed with him- right? The other body stirred and he inhaled deeply. Oh yes- there was the scent of citrus. Yup, that was Chase. Leaning up at bit, he was able to just barely make out the neon numbers of the alarm clock: 10:00 With a small groan, he flopped back down and took the liberty of nuzzling up to the blonde. Chase didn't need to know he purposely did it- he could blame it all on him being asleep.

If things weren't slightly awkward to begin with, they turned the tables rather fast on the poor fox. They had made it to the apartment complex, and as Theo pulled on the door handle to let them in- Chase just started laughing harder. Confused, he looked around before smacking himself on the forehead. They weren't at his apartment; they were at Chase's. And the blonde's apartment required keys to get into the main building. He groaned loudly, thumping his head against the door. He would need the keys, and he could only silently pray that Chase had the keys on him. Even if he just chuckled with that deep voice of his, Theo knew he wouldn't give them up without a game.

There were soft pleads, tugs on his sleeve. The blonde wouldn't budge though. He wasn't going to give up the keys easily. He was growing tired; the adrenaline wasn't coursing through his body anymore, and the cool air from the night was making him sleepy. While he loved the grin that was spreading across Chase's face, he wanted to curl up on Chase's couch and sleep the next three days away. So in an act of last resort, he pinned the blonde against the door and ran his hands over anywhere there were pockets. Front pockets. Back pockets. His chest. It wasn't until the other boy squirmed against him with a soft whine that he heard them jingle in his jacket pocket.

Once again Theo's eyes fluttered open. Why did he keep waking up? Yawning once more, he felt something curled up at his lower back. Reaching a hand behind him, he felt around for a minute before coming across the wet greeting that was Red's tongue all over his hand. Pulling his hand back he haphazardly wiped it off on his jeans, stretching out once more. Red jumped down from the bed and wandered off, and Theo rolled over to take her spot, tucking an arm under his head and pulling his legs up to lay in a half curled position before nodding off again.

They were halfway up the stairs when a random door opened and told them to quiet down. Chase busted out in a fit of giggles and Theo tried to quiet him down by covering his mouth with his own hand. It didn't work very well since the blonde felt the need to lick his hand. This made Theo laugh louder than he should have, and he ducked his head as another door opened and yelled at them. Wiping his hand off on Chase's shirt, he managed to stumble up the stairs with the other boy to Chase's floor. He was doubled over from trying not to laugh when he was pulled up and pressed against the door to Chase's room roughly; his lips being claimed in another kiss. Red was barking at the door on the other side, and Theo couldn't have a care in the world as he pulled the other closer by the tie still around his neck.

There was the sound of a door opening, but nothing followed. It was as if someone had opened with intentions to yell at them when they saw the scene before them and ducked back into their room. Again, Theo didn't care as Chase claimed his mouth. Somehow, he would never know how, he had managed to unlock the door and they both fell into the small kitchen; Theo first then Chase right on top of him. They both lost themselves in tear-inducing laughter as Red bounced around them barking her greeting loudly in their ears.

A foot managed to kick the door shut as hands went about pulling jackets off. Feet were kicking themselves free of the confines of their shoes. Wandering hands got lost in tangled tendrils and there were gentle nips along collarbones and soft whimpers muffled by a pair of lips. The two had managed to pull themselves into a standing position as the practically tore the others over shirts and they managed to make their way down the hallway tangled in the others grip before stumbling back onto the bed.

His stomach gurgled at him and once again he found his hands rubbing at his eyes to clear the built up sleep from them. Yawning widely, he pushed a mess of hair from his face and slowly pushed himself to an upright sitting position. Another yawn played out from his lips and he rubbed at the back of his neck. Looking off to left, he saw Chase splayed out on the bed like a starfish, and he silently chuckled. How he was ever able to get any sleep would be a mystery to him. Stretching, his hands reaching up to flex at nothing, he tilted his head off to the side to let it give a satisfying pop before tilting it to the other side for the same effect.

Yawning again, a small little sleepy purr bubbled from his swollen lips as he felt the blonde beside him stir. Looking over at the clock, he noted that it was three in the afternoon. At least, he was hoping it was in the afternoon. It was hard to tell with the blinds down. Wiggling his toes, he noticed that he didn't have any covers on him, and looked back down at Chase. They were half bunched at his waist and he rolled his eyes at the fact Chase was a blanket hog. With a small sigh, he looked around, wondering what he should do. He could probably sleep for another hour or so. Or he could try to wake Chase up and see what he was suppose to do now.

Looking down at himself, he noted how his wife beater was bunched up; so he pulled it down before he noticed that the button to his pants was undone. With an eyebrow raised, he sucked in his stomach and buttoned it, before giving a small smirk to himself. Apparently they enjoyed themselves last night. A frown formed on his face when a question he didn't feel like facing right now reared it's ugly head.

Now what do they do?

Shaking his head, he pushed the thought to the back of his head. There was no way he was going to think about that right now. So instead, he laid back down and inched his way closer to the warm blonde. Tucking his head under his chin, resting it against his arm, he found that he fit perfectly up against him, which made a smile brighten his face. That made him happier than he thought it would. At least that was one good thing. Apart from waking up next to someone as sexy as Chase.

With a content 'hum,' Theo let his eyes slip shut again as he just laid there against the other boy. Completely content to just listen to the silence of him sleeping. He would stay until Chase kicked him out. Yes, that's what he would do. Besides, this bed was oh so comfortable.

and I don't wanna miss a thing The pounding base of the club had continued, long after it should have. The heavy bass that had moved his body rhythmically to the beats had turned more sporadic and even… painful. It was like it had taken on a new form of its own—evolved from a tiny rookie to a more sophisticated entity that was apparently trying to claw its way out of his brain in a bloody gory mess. Soon its incubation period would be complete and the splitting of his head would come full force and release the demon music baby still dancing around his brain. It was at this time, this thought, that he realized the pounding music in his head wasn’t so much music as it was a throbbing migraine, the after effects of what was assumed to be a good night. Idly his eyes blinked open, leaving him to silently groan and regret the motion as he swiftly closed them. Despite the fact that he always hated that part of the morning when your body decided it was ready to wake up, this one was decidedly worse. The movement of his eyes had caused his migraine to act up and retaliate against the simple movement, his vision practically throbbing with each pound in his brain. Then there was the awful flip of his stomach—not the normal one when you woke up that told you that you were hungry, but the kind that said fuck you man you’re going to vomit. As if that wasn’t enough, even the thought of moving made his body ache, each individual muscle screaming into his mind that they weren’t going to take any more of his abuse. But to top it all off, he just plain wasn’t ready to wake up. He just wanted to close his eyes again and wake up in another few hundred years recovered and refreshed. But as each second ticked by, he found that the nagging feeling in his gut wouldn’t let him fall back into his slumber. Shifting the smallest fraction, Chase bit back the urge to groan in protest. His mind was reeling again, the demon music monster threatening to break out prematurely with his cousin that had nested in his gut. But all that stopped for the fraction of a second it took Chase to realize that he wasn’t alone. And not the kind of alone he normally was when he realized he had been cuddling with his husky all night… but the kind of not alone that told him there was another body in his bed. He felt his heart stop in his chest and his breathing suddenly halt as the dots didn’t seem to connect in his brain. What the fuck had happened? Had he gotten so drunk that he took someone home with him and didn’t even remember? What was her name! Christ he hoped she wouldn’t be angry. He had only ever gotten this wasted once before—and he had vowed it would never happen again. The walk of shame home in his boxers had been enough of a deterrent. But this was different, at least he was in his own bed. Biting his lip, lifting his head from the pillow to investigate his bedroom partner to see if it would jog any memories, aside from the continuous pounding Chase found himself relieved. He actually remember this person’s name, and was even pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn’t a her, but in fact a him. He sighed and let his head fall back into the pillow, gritting his teeth as if it was ease the pain. Slowly the evening was coming back to him, but in weird flashy chunks that didn’t really seem in order. Most of the evening was a complete and utter blur, he remembered getting to the bar and Theo’s first kiss, remembered the way it had excited him and made him want more. He remembered that he teased the adorable ginger quite a bit as he welcomed him into the night club he frequented on occasions, introducing him to the bartender and a fair number of drinks that after the first few became scrambled and he didn’t quite care. That was when things began to jump in his brain, like a scratched DVD that seemed to jump all over the place, skipping vital scenes and left you guessing. At one point in the night he had remembered shoved Theo against the wall of the club, ravaging his lips like some hungry animal that had been deprived of food. It had tasted like strawberries and he had wanted more. But the stupid part of his brain had told him to take a break to breathe instead of continuing to indulge himself. But it wasn’t long after that that his taste had been satisfied for the ginger and he was reduced to little more than a puddle by the playful nips at his collarbone and neck. It was only when he felt the tap on his shoulder and the inevitable tug of the tie around his neck that intimate scene they were in was disturbed. In a blink of his eyes they were on the street, the blue silk tie around his neck no longer a delicious piece of material used to manipulate him at Theo’s will, but more like a leash as they walked along the streets going to what appeared to be his apartment. Evidence to support that being that he was in his own bed, but hell, they could have gotten lost along the way who knew. There were heavy burbles of laughs that escaped his lips at the GPS on Theo’s phone as it lead them to their destination, and he could distinctly remember being amused by the way it couldn’t quite pronounce the street names. And when he started to laugh, Theo seemed to follow suit, igniting the night air around them in hilarity that in the morning wouldn’t be quite so funny. Another blink and he was being patted down at the door of his apartment, the ginger’s hands roaming over his body greedily searching for something…. something. His mind couldn’t figure out what, but he knew he wasn’t going to relinquish it without a fight. And he quite enjoyed the game, the way the ginger’s hands fluttered over his body and electrified the skin beneath his shirt. He wanted to squirm, to feel more of his feather light touch… he remembered whimpering when the game came to an end and Theo found the prize. He didn’t like losing. But had he really lost? It felt more like a win to him. Blink. They were stumbling up the stairs, the shouts of his neighbors and slamming doors fueling his laughter as he kept a death grip on the boy next to him. His body wanted to find another wall, pin him against it desperately and have his fill once again. The hunger he had satisfied at the club was coming back to claim him. But his mind told him that the world around him was funnier than it should have been and he was reduced to laughing behind Theo’s hand and thinking it a good idea to lick it until he gave up trying to silence him. He wanted to call out to his neighbors to stop being such party poopers, but comprehensive thinking escaped him and his mind went in one direction. Theo. And then they were on the floor of his apartment, his foot moving to slam the door to hide them from the nosy neighbors that couldn’t seem to just leave them alone. His lips were greedy in claiming Theo’s, his body pressing them firmly to the floor as his hands roamed freely. He no longer had to worry about being caught doing something he didn’t want—not that it had stopped him before at the club. His fingers would tangle themselves in that gorgeous hair of his, tugging lightly and getting lost, before he would withdraw them to move down his chest and mess with the fabric of his shirt. He remembered being frustrated with the arms of their shirts and growling until they were freed from the confines of the wretched clothes. Another flash and they were in his bed, sheets and comforters were plush around their bodies as they met. He tried to be dominating, but the moment he attempted to climb over the ginger he had fallen to the side and erupted in a fit of laughter that was cut short by Theo’s lips claiming his. There were more roaming hands, more electrified skin that became warm to the touch, more want, and more frustration. There was a flurry of limbs and then… black… Squinting his eyes as he tried to connect more dots and piece together the choppy memories, he sighed. Apparently he had fallen asleep for another moment and replayed the moments of the night in the form of a dream. Though, the demon flip-flopping around in his stomach once again had disturbed that process and he was shifting on the bed with a pathetic look on his face. A meager whimper escaped his lips as he flopped on his side, clenching his eyes closed and moving to cover his face with his pillow. There was very little light in the room, but even that was enough to make him whine and try to hide his face from the world. He was hyper aware of Red and her placement in the room, her tail wagging exceptionally loud, panting excitedly as she licked his foot to wake him up. He knew she wanted to be fed… or let out… or played with and he wanted to be the good master and do so. But his body was having none of it. There was a sudden extreme amount of shifting beside him, Theo apparently randomly deciding he wanted to join the circus or something, and he gave a disgruntled moan. Why was everything so against him getting some sleep? It was only… what… ten in the morning? A part of him wanted to peek his head out from his sanctuary to check if he was right, but his internal clock told him it was much later than he wanted. Theo was settling down in the bed again, scooting closer to him and tucking his head under his chin. Idly, at the protest of every muscle in his body, he lifted his arms and wrapped them around the male to pull him closer. “The demon monster baby in my head doesn’t appreciate your audition for joining the circus. Settle down.” he croaked, mild amusement in his otherwise tired voice. His eyes remained closed as he spoke, his head only snuggling closer to the pillow top mattress and under the pillow. He still wasn’t ready to wake up.TAGGED: Solar/Theo WORDS: 1806 THIS TEMPLATE WAS MADE BY WILMETTA OF CAUTION.

i could spend my life
in this sweet surrender

Time was a loss to him as he laid there against the bare chest that was Chase. Last he knew it was three in the afternoon. It was hard to tell how much time had actually passed since he laid back down. Though, if he were to lose large chunks of his day, there would be no other place for him to want to lose it at. Especially while being held in Chase's arms.

He wasn't sure if he was still awake, or if he had finally drifted back to sleep, when the other boy's arms wrapped themselves around his frame and pulled him closer. Stilling in sudden fear, Theo's eyes snapped open and darted around. Had he been caught? Was what he doing a bad thing? His heart started beating fast in his chest, and he held his breath- waiting for something to trigger what would normally be the start to a nightmare.

But nothing happened.

Exhaling deeply through his nose, he tried to calm himself. He was at Chase's place. Curled up in his bed. Wrapped in the blonde's firm grip. Not at home flailing about his bed on the verge of crying out for help that would never come. There was no hound barking in the back of his mind. No rifle going off signaling he'd be caught. There was just the sound of the two of them breathing, and Red making herself comfortable on the floor.

Nothing was coming to get him. Nothing was going to leave him shaken.

Chase spoke up and mentioned he didn't like all the moving around Theo was doing, and he couldn't help but blush even with the soft chuckle escaping his lips. He felt bad, even if he wasn't the reason for Chase finally waking up. Even if the blonde's arms were securely around him- with Chase being awake that meant he might have to leave. And he really, really didn't want to leave.

With uncertainty plaguing his mind, he lifted an arm and carefully draped it over the boy's waist, his fingertips just barely brushing against his lower back. Licking at his dry lips, he lifted his eyes to see the pillow covering the other's face. He couldn't help the second chuckle that emerged from his lips. "I can assure you I'm not joining no circus. Though, it's a pleasure to hear you're finally awake, Sleeping Beauty." It was a partial lie, because honesty, Chase being awake meant he might get kicked out. But if Chase was still asleep, Theo would just mull about in his subconscious and would probably end up tainting the moment.

The grin that broke across his face at the princess comment made Theo's mind whirl about faster than he wanted it to. There was a headache creeping at the corner of his eyes, and he really didn't want to put up with one right now. Especially if Chase was talking about demon monster babies wanting to burst from his skull. In protest though, his mind started shifting through feminine versions of Chase's name; anything to one up the names he'd given Theo. Then, at last, it hit him:

Chasity.

"Poor Princess Chasity, unable to get the full charge of sleep that she needs. How sad." He let a mock pout cross his features as he fought back a fit of laughter that would only cause both of their heads to split. Damn his mind for thinking of something like that when they weren't properly fit to handle it. Though, he felt it would be worth it if the new name would have the same effect on Chase as his Princess names had on himself.

and I don't wanna miss a thing After each hang over, he always told himself that would be the last. The last time he would drink so much. The last time he would let himself get so far gone he could barely remember the previous night’s events. But more importantly, especially as he mulled in the awful gut wrenching feeling plaguing his stomach, it would be the last time he got so out of his mind sick that all he wanted to do was vomit his brains out… while at the same time wishing not to for fear his head would explode in an ugly mess in his toilet. He couldn’t figure out which was worse… the demon monster baby in his head threatening to break loose, or his cousin in his stomach begging to be released into a watery grave. Either way, as he laid on his bed, he made a mental note that this would be the last time. Letting the refreshing feeling of not moving take over his head, he heard Theo’s breathing change. It wasn’t anything to worry about, but it sounded as if he had been caught stealing a cookie out of the cookie jar… and he figured if he stopped moving and breathing, he’d fizzle out of existence long enough to get away with the dirty deed. Had he not been so tired and feeling so utterly like a piece of crap, he would have made a joke about it. Some teasing remarks that he didn’t want to think about because it made his head throb more and irritate his migraine. Right now, all he wanted was to lay in silence, hoping the nausea monster wouldn’t be knocking on his door for too much longer. But then it seemed like he calmed down, that he realized the situation was nothing to worry about and let himself just exist in it and take part of it as his arm draped over his waist. Chase felt a shiver run up his spine, his skin feeling cool and hot at the same time. He remembered that they had done so much more the night before, but there was something about the absence of liquid courage that made the simplest of gestures mean so much more. The night previous hadn’t been a mistake—he knew that he had feelings for the ginger and would have acted on them in the future—it was just a little rushed was all. So it felt like he was tiptoeing on eggshells rather than having done something at the right time. But Theo didn’t seem too bothered by it… Feeling a scowl form on his lips, he gave another whimper as Theo began to speak, the volume of his voice penetrating his pillow shield and aggravating the demon baby. He could feel the throbbing intensify with each word, and as he stopped speaking, what would have been a playful retort hanging in the air, it lessened. For a moment he thought it a good idea to just kiss him to shut him up and put his brain out of agony, but the seconds passed by and with each one ticking away, he knew better than to do that. Body curling slightly at the discomfort, he tried to nuzzle his head further into his pillow top mattress to lessen the booming speech into a dull roar, but his actions were in vain. “Do you think you could stop shouting? You’re angering the demon baby in my brain and the one in my stomach is threatening an appearance. I’d rather not be in that position,” he whimpered, lifting a hand from around the ginger and pressing the pillow closer to his face. It probably wasn’t the best coping mechanism considering the circumstances, but maybe Theo would take the hint that now was no time for teasing… and more time for quiet cuddles. It was only when the teasing remark of a nickname registered in his brain that he removed the hand and lifted the pillow so he could glare at the ginger with as much ferocity as he could muster. Though he knew what he thought he looked like didn’t equate to what he actually did, and he figured he looked like a pathetic man wanting to remain forever in the darkness of his bat cave. “Chastity? Really? After last night I would say chastity is the last thing I have. Wouldn’t you say?” he said, his tone a bit more bitter and angry than he intended. He bit his lip, he didn’t want to offend Theo… but he wanted to get the point across that now wasn’t the time to be cutesy and playful. Now was the time to be quiet and cuddle. Tightening his grip around the male, letting him know that he wasn’t going anywhere for the time being, Chase let the pillow fall back to his face. i could spend my life
in this sweet surrender

The longer he laid there, wrapped up in Chase's arms- the more he wanted to never leave. He honestly wanted to stay here, curled up against the blonde, for as long as humanly possible. He felt accepted, like he finally belonged somewhere in this strange new world. It made him feel whole again. Made him feel like he could be himself without having to worry about impressing anyone. In that moment, Theo knew that he didn't want to mess anything up with Chase. That he would do everything in his power to make sure he didn't screw up this little bit of happiness that was starting to form.

A yawn crossed his lips and as he breathed in, he could smell Chase. Almost taste him again. All in that moment he wanted to see what it would be like to kiss Chase without the help of alcohol. Without the blonde teasing him into a challenge. To just lean forward and press his lips against his. But he knew he couldn't. That would be crossing a line- last night... last night was special, and Theo would forever remember it. Nothing was going to take that from him.

As their conversation went from little mumbles to actual words, Theo felt the previous nights effect taking it's toll on him. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as what Chase had to be feeling, if he was calling them demon babies, but the pounding in the back of his own head was making itself known. He was starting to realize why Chase kept the pillow over his head. So he in turn buried his face against the blonde's chest, in hopes that he wouldn't upset his stomach more than what it was.

Mumbling an apology against his chest, Theo stiffened a bit when Chase called him out on last night. About how he wasn't much in the terms of "chasity," His face heated up quickly as he thought about what had transpired the night before, the tone of the other boy's voice echoing in his ears. He had missed the look Chase had given him, but when he did look back up, he could see the apologetic look the blonde wore on his face. But he could also see more. He saw the tired etched in his normally cheerful face. Last night apparently took more out of his energetic friend than he thought.

There were no more complaints or little snippets of an attempt to be funny when Chase pulled him somehow closer. He heard the sound of the pillow falling back onto the blonde's face, and he winced. That had to hurt him, because just the thought of something falling on Theo's head, even if it was a pillow- made the headache grow ever more.

Chase had won. It was still too early to even try to be human and socialize. It was most definitely time to just lay there and enjoy the moment. With his eyelids getting heavier by the minute, Theo knew he would be out for another hour or more. So he carefully adjusted himself so he kept one arm around Chase, while his other arm came to cradle his own head as he gave into sleep once again.

They would have time later to sort things out and see where they were to go from here. But now, now was time for quite company.
