PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SAVE A COPY OF YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE YOU SUBMIT IT TO BE REVIEWED. Occasionally the multi-mod has been known to eat an app after sorting (the whole first post disappears). It's rare, but it happens.
As of today, these are the requirements for each application submitted on derp. If your application does not comply with the following guidelines, your application will
* WORD COUNT:
Traditional - 400 words per section (excluding connections)
Freestyle - 700 words (excluding connections)
* PORTAL LOCATION:
The portal is static. It does not move. So your character must journey to reach it. If you have a character that is a fish or a creature that lives in the water, there is a tunnel to the portal beneath the mountain and under the water. They can reach it that way.
You must justify your name, playby, and occupation at the very least in the connections. We'd love to also see you justify their personality and history as well.
It is your responsibility to see if other canons in your movie have been made and, if so, to follow the timeline that they've established. So if they've cut the movie off at the very middle, please respect that and don't write the application as if the entire movie happened.
Please keep in mind that you are playing the real characters. If you find the need to sway from canon, make sure to justify it. Quite honestly, we're very open to creative interpretations. Just make sure that they're not crazy! Like... an evil Rapunzel or Ursula as a nun or something.
* MULTIPLE CHARACTERS:
If this is your second, third, plus character then you need to make sure that you include a link to five in-character posts (social media does not count - it must be a full post) by your last character made and their plot page. Two weeks must have passed since your last character was accepted as well.
* ORIGINAL CHARACTERS:
Original NYC characters can be made at any time, just like a canon character. Original animated characters may only be made after you make an original canon or nyc character, and admin permission is required. For more information, please click here.
